The U’Ren Family Endowment Fund
The U’Ren Family Endowment Fund was established to help foster a community passion for the arts and make a lasting, positive impact in the community through performing arts experiences and education. We extend our sincere gratitude to the U’Ren Family and we are proud to play a role in continuing their legacy. We also thank Mary Elaine Johnson for her generous contribution to the fund. The fund includes additional contributions from the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center Council and is managed by a certified financial advisor.
Constance "Connie" U'Ren spent her entire professional life as a teacher, including 32 years at South Milwaukee High School where she taught English and Spanish. She worked alongside the music department to direct and present the annual Spring Musical and Christmas Feaste, and is fondly remembered for her high expectations and outstanding productions. After her retirement, Connie volunteered at South Milwaukee Human Concerns, remained involved in American Field Service (AFS), served on various School District of South Milwaukee committees, and was a long-time patron and supporter of South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center. With past support from Connie, her sister Jacky and their family, SMPAC has been able to offer many outstanding programs throughout the years. Connie passed into Eternal Life in September, 2024 at the age of 93.
