Our mission is to enrich lives by providing creative, innovative and diverse performing arts, life-long learning experiences and a professionally-managed facility for community and regional organizations.

Who We Are

South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center is a professionally-managed performing arts center serving the School District of South Milwaukee (SDSM), community organizations, professional presenters and businesses throughout the greater Milwaukee region. SMPAC was founded in 2004 on South Milwaukee’s legacy of outstanding theatre and music educators. SMPAC features a 786-seat theatre with a classroom-sized orchestra pit, expansive stage, exceptional lighting and sound systems, a 23-line set rigging system, projector and video screen, plus dressing rooms and adjacent areas for rental use.

Who We Serve

Annual attendance at all SMPAC events is approximately 30,000. Of those, 10-15,000 are unique visitors. Visitors include 3,400 district families, series patrons and customers of renters and other presenters. Many reside outside of our district in the surrounding communities, while some travel from out of state.

What We Do

We host, manage or produce more than 500 events annually, including an annual Performing Arts Series, Student Matinees, Educational Workshops and Community Outreach Events. Other events include SDSM school district events, rental events, plus load-ins, set-ups, rehearsals, sound checks and more.

Our patrons, staff, volunteers, advisory board and fundraising cabinet share an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for the arts. SMPAC has become an exceptional organization for people of all ages and aesthetics who share a love of the performing arts.
