Milwaukee Ballet II here Sat., Jan. 24

Milwaukee Ballet II (MBII), the second company of Milwaukee Ballet, is set to stage the highlight of their season which will be restaged by MBII Director Rolando Yanes at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center, 901 15th Avenue, South Milwaukee.

The January 24 show is the only MBII mainstage performance of this season and features the music of Frédéric Chopin, accompanied by Daniel Boudewyns, to portray the height of the romantic age. Then, Adam Sterr’s world premier contemporary work will symbolize our new generation’s energy onstage.

“I’m already looking forward to next winter when, if there’s a God, Milwaukee Ballet Two will give its fourth annual concert at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center,” noted John Schneider of the Shepherd Express, “There’s nothing like it in Milwaukee’s dance season.”

Tickets for the Saturday, Janurary 24th performance are $20 to $30, with discounts for seniors and students. The show will start at 7:30 p.m.

The Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II Program (MBII) takes excellent ballet students and transforms them into artists, ready for the professional world. These male and female trainees, ages 18 to 22, come to the program through international auditions.
