We invite you to take part in this unique and heartfelt performing arts extravaganza! Indulge your creativity with this community driven theatre, vaudeville, musical and “who-knows-what” curated and performed by you and other, like-minded patrons of the SMPAC community. Tomas Kubinek will be the Master of Ceremonies. Here’s what you’ll need to know in order to audition. The Gala will take place on May 1, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. Auditions are scheduled for October 29. Participants will be notified by mid-November. Ten performances will be chosen for the May 1st show based on 1) overall appeal and fit for our audience, 2) meeting the application/audition/rehearsal requirements, and 3) feasibility of the performance for our stage and theatre. If there are multiple acts of a similar nature or genre, we will choose the best, based on the aforementioned criteria. Each performance should be no more than 10 minutes. Performers must be present on the date of auditions and available for one rehearsal the week prior to May 1st. We will consider both professional and amateur artists and groups. Although we cannot compensate performers, they will be listed in promotional materials, have an opportunity to perform for a live audience on our stage, and will receive a package of complimentary tickets to the performance.
