Who would have believed five years ago the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center (SMPAC) would be where it is today! What a great five years it has been. With your help the future looks even brighter!
The SMPAC brings quality performing arts entertainment to the South Shore area at affordable prices. In a state of the arts facility we have been able to provide a wide variety of performances for all ages and interests including:
- The Vienna Boys Choir, John Mueller’s Winter Dance Party, John McGivern, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats.
- Student arts education in workshops, clinics and performances with artists such as the Dallas Brass, Missoula Children’s Theatre and Alpin Hong.
- Aiding in development of the Grant Park Players - Milwaukee area’s newest community theater.
- A Student Matinee Series featuring Laura Ingalls Wilder and A Christmas Carol.
- A free Summer Concert Series.
- Partnering with artists to provide free shows to veterans, performances at senior care facilities and pre-show performances such as the Bel Canto Boys Choir.
Ticket sales only cover 40% of our annual budget. The rest comes from sponsorships and donations from people like you! Your gifts not only allow us to continue excellence in the performing arts, but help to provide a strong foundation and growth for the future! We are excited and inspired for new possibilities in the coming year!
